Fronted by Arthur Lewis and (backed by) his twin sister Marie, the Indie Soul quartet Arthur and the Geniuses is one of a few groups who kicked off the inaugural performance season at The Green Room at 45 Bleecker Street.What is Indie Soul? To tell you the truth, I’m not really sure. What I can tell you is how it sounds. It sounds good. According to Arthur, he and The Geniuses are what you’d get “if Radiohead grew up listening to funk instead of emo.” Look for the debut album from Arthur Lewis soon.
