The Birthday Massacre

April 27, 2009
The Birthday Massacre are a no-so-guilty pleasure of mine – I love Canadians and synthrock and the band has them both in spades. Over the year or so that I’ve been a fan of their music, I’ve managed to miss every single show they’ve played in NYC – that is, until last night when I hit the front row of the Highline Ballroom with my D3 and 14-24mm. Stay tuned for the full set.

  1. I had already seen (and made a little comment) this photo on your flickr, but it’s never too much to compliment good shots, and this is one is great.

I love the moment and it’s definitely an original pose …

    Very nice ;)

  2. Based on the preview image, the full set will be great. I’m looking forward to it.

I truly appreciate this fresh angle you have relating to the issue. Really had not been expecting this when I began exploring to get data. Your main ideas appeared certainly effortless to appreciate, so I wondered the reason why I hardly looked at this task previously. Thankful to discover the fact there’s an individual to be found who absolutely is aware of precisely what he is writing about. Exceptional effort

  4. Thanks Daniel!

I love this shot because it looks like the crowd is pulling her to pieces (which they were – she loves it).

  5. I’ve got a massive backlog of work to post Craig! This set will be a fun one – not as crisp as my usual work, but definitely lots of fun wide angles. I dodged crowd surfers and the mosh pit for this set. =)
