Windows was a rip off of the MAC interface. There is a few keyboard differences, and a lot less system crashes. Getting photoshop, printers, etc to work corrrectly is easier on a MAC in my opinion. Only downside is the price, but what the price of a PC when it takes a week to recover from a virus attack?

I hear ya. I’ve only shot Justin once, and it was in a dive, and your brother had the front row while I got blocked by this big ol’ woman who was pissed I had a camera near her face.

What made the switch to MAC? Just curious because I’m upgrading in the next year and I run a PC and I’m always afraid I won’t be able to understand or us the MAC OS as easy as Windows.

If I have to use flash, I try not to cook my subjects too bad. In this case, ISO 800 and the slow shutter speed let in enough of the ambient to give most of the shots a bit of atmosphere (they could use more).

I didn’t even consider using ISO 6400 and a fast prime. There was NO light, even for the D3. =)

Hey Chris,

I ran into Justin only to say hi. Since I’ve already shot him and the SPW guys up and down, I didn’t feel the need to take snaps of him at the party (I didn’t want to cross into that paparazzi realm that night). =-)

As much as I dislike flash, I’ll use it and rock it if it’s needed.

There aren’t any watermarks on this set because I just switched from PC to Mac and haven’t got my Photoshop actions set up correctly yet. (I know, I know, I’m lazy).

Looks like the kind of lighting I’m usually faced with. Great shots with the flash – I always waver over using a flash or bumping the ISO up to 6400.

Sad to see no pictures of Justin Tranter. That man is a rocking machine.

It always sucks to use flash, but if you have to, might as well get some great pics out of it :P
