What Saturday night would be complete without a round of crowd surfing in a pink pleather bodysuit? Kylie eat your heart out. Peaches performed in support of I Feel Cream at Terminal 5, NYC.

Concert Photography Notes

When one of Peaches’ crew members came into the pit to tell the photographers to “get out of the way when she comes down” it was a good bet that Peaches would be getting down and dirty early in the set. Sure enough, she climbed right into a crowd walk during the second of three songs.

The crowd surfing shots were lit by a single SB-900 on-camera with an exposure of of 1/30 at f/3.5 and ISO3200. I purposefully kept the ISO high and the shutter speed low to capture what little ambient light there was in the room. The faces of the crowd at the very back of the venue would not have been visible without these settings.

Flash output was controlled with Nikon TTL and spot metering. No flash exposure compensation was used.

The reminder of the images for this set were shot without flash using the Nikon 24-700m lens with an exposure of roughly 1/200 at f/2.8 and ISO 3200.
