Just a few shots from Vader’s performance at Gramercy Theater. The Polish headliners finished off a great lineup of metal that included awesome sets by Warbringer, Augury and of course Decrepit Birth.
I photographed Vader’s performance with primarily the 24-70mm and 70-200mm zoom lenses. Unlike some of the opening acts members of Vader stayed several feet back from the front of the stage, negating the need for the ultra-wide angle of the 14-24mm.
Exposure was roughly 1/200 at f/2.8 and ISO2000. A limited amount of on-camera flash was occasionally used during this set.

I love the shot of the drummer! Perfect spotlight on his face while leaving the rest of the scene darker.
Ha! You’ll have to thank the lighting designer for that!
